About this guide

Openly owned and deliberately small: resort hotels where the room, the swim and the supper come first.

The people behind the pages

The Lower Sioux Indian Community publishes fairsharenederlandb from 39375 County Highway 24, Morton MN 56270, US. Editors read the shared inbox at contact@fairsharenederlandb.com.

Despite the name, this is a travel guide to US casino-resort hotels; it is not connected with any campaign or organisation in the Netherlands.

Why Morton heads the list

The Community that publishes the guide also owns the Morton resort in the Minnesota River valley. Because of that ownership, it opens the list. Should you stay there, the money goes to the publisher in its role as owner, so you are dealing with us twice over. Places two through ten reflect our editors' view of the stay itself.

Where income comes from

A hotel link here can include a referral tag. Should a reservation follow, a partner may pay the guide a fee; your rate is unaffected. Placement cannot be bought, and no hotel reviews or approves our wording before it goes live.

What we weigh when picking hotels

  • How restful the rooms are, and how many kinds there are.
  • Water and wellness: pools, hot tubs, spa rooms.
  • Breadth of the dining, from a quick breakfast to a long dinner.
  • The surroundings: river, bay, desert or downtown streets.
  • The drive or transfer in from the nearest sensible airport.
  • How plainly each hotel publishes its fees and age policy.

Our sources are the hotels' own websites plus public information. Anything we could not pin down is kept general or flagged as a question for the front desk.

House rules for our writing

The subject is lodging, meals, water and scenery. Gaming is outside our remit. You will find no grades, guest quotes or made-up figures anywhere on these pages.
